About The Vineyard Justice Network:
The Vineyard Justice Network (VJN) exists to empower Vineyard pastors and leaders to pursue and enact the justice of God’s kingdom. VJN focuses on the interconnectivity of freeing slaves, ending poverty, and tending creation.
– How is fighting human trafficking connected to ending poverty?
– How are root causes of poverty connected to caring for the environment?
– How does environmental stewardship prevent human trafficking?
– What does it look like and mean for the exploited to lead the way in ending exploitation?
– The trafficked to lead the way in ending trafficking, the homeless to lead the way to ending homelessness, the undocumented immigrant to lead the way in immigration reform?
By connecting the dots between these key issues of structural injustice and leadership, we will foster depth in our dialogue, ask better questions, and challenge ourselves to empower the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed to lead the way in our common struggle to participate in and enact the Kingdom of God today.
ATTEND THE VJN 2014 CONFERENCE: KINGDOM JUSTICE, VINEYARD VALUES
October 14-16 | Anaheim Vineyard
Does your church already work to fight human trafficking, to end poverty, or engage with creation care? Or your church is engaged with immigration reform, foster/orphan care, school partnerships, housing rights, or food pantries? Or are you just beginning your compassion and justice journey? Please join us for our second, annual gathering of Vineyard pastors, leaders, and seasoned experts.
VJN 2014 will provide helpful anchors for framing conversations that will truly facilitate both information sharing and workshopping what people are already doing in their churches and helping them to both connect the dots of our “interconnectivity continuum” of how one’s anti-trafficking efforts could be more strategic in linking one’s anti-poverty efforts, how a church’s environmental efforts could be strengthened by deeper analysis of the root causes of poverty.
This year, we will center the conversation on how pursuing the interconnectivity of God’s justice is integrated in each of the Vineyard’s Core Values.
