“From being raised and loved by ‘The Help’ in my home in the segregated South on a farm with both white and black men working together, to my second grade class that was suddenly integrated, and in my adulthood answering a call to move into a predominately black inner city neighborhood in 1997, God has given me a unique privilege to see individuals of both black and white races as just that… people not groups. As a Spiritual Director, I am learning to look at where God is at work and currently He is working with a group of kids in our neighborhood every Wednesday night through reading and eating together.”
